ACCOMMODATION
Two alternative accommodation options are suggested. Both have been inspected and approved by USC faculty.
1. Magnotel
This hotel is located close to Tongji University where the AAC workshops will be held. Double rooms are available from 299 RMB (approx. $46) per night. This hotel has a high approval rating on Tripadvisor.
2. Somerset Serviced Apartments
These are located in the French Concession area which has the reputation for being the best place to live in Shanghai in terms of facilities (shops, bars, restaurants etc.). They also include a number of faciltiies available including swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Their one disadvantage is that they are some 40 mins by public transport or taxi from Tongji, although even taxis are relatively cheap in Shanghai, and should cost around $10 one way. Apartments are available for 8000 RMB (approx $1232) per month for a double room in a shared apartment. www.somerset.com

The AAC Summer Study Program is an full immersion program for graduate students in academic universities from around the world. Academic credit is determined by participating schools. Each of the workshops and travel enrichment program is designed for faculty-led student groups from programs in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, environmental design or public arts.
Participating Universities/Faculty Led Student Groups
In the firmness of our commitment to the success of AAC and to seek collaborators outside of USC with common interests in China, we are offering this summer’s AAC programs without tuition to all interested graduate faculty led student groups who are not members of the USC community.
To register, please email eric.moore@usc.edu, copy leachneil@hotmail.com, and you will be contacted.
Independent Scholars not affiliated with any academic institution interested in the program please contact program academic coordinator, Paul Tang at prtang@usc.edu.
